How to add a user
Before you add any users to Silktide, you’ll want to be familiar with RBAC for permissions, groups, and default user permissions.
To add new users to your Silktide account, you must be an account owner. There is no limit to the number of users you can add to your account.
Click on the profile icon in the top right corner, and select Settings > Users.
Click on the blue New User button above the table list of current users to be taken to the new user screen.
The User permissions screen has a lot of options, but when groups have been defined, adding a user to a group will automatically enable the permissions for that group to give you better, centralized control.
Unless you want to give a specific user additional permissions above and beyond their default group permissions, the only sections you need to fill out are the Basics, Groups, and Views sections.
When you add a user they will be immediately emailed instructions to create their account. This will include asking them to choose a password.
Single Sign-on (SSO)
Please note that if you have Single Sign-on set up in your account, users will also be able to create accounts on their own, making the default user permissions particularly important.
